L-Arginine 

L-Arginine is an amino acid that increases your body’s supply of nitric oxide, a molecule that dilates blood vessels and that is depleted with exercise. When your blood vessels are more dilated, more oxygen can get to tissues that need it. Take it 30 minutes before getting into the chamber for maximal effect. Dosing range: 500mg to 3grams

Red light

Red light, or light between 620 to 750 nm spectrum, is well known to have healing properties. It is often targeted to a specific area or tissue like your ankle after spraining it, your elbow after breaking it, your sore muscles after strenuous exercise, or a surgical site (to name just a few examples). 

Red light therapy primarily works by dilating blood vessels and by stimulating your mitochondria, the batteries of your cells, to produce more ATP (your body’s energy currency) at a faster rate.  

Using red light therapy while in your hyperbaric chamber has massive synergetic potential to help you heal and optimize faster. This is because hyperbaric therapy infuses your body with more oxygen and this oxygen will preferentially go to areas with dilated blood vessels and higher rates of oxygen utilization that are being exposed to red light

 

Foam roller or Ball

Using a foam roller, exercise ball, or even a tennis/lacrosse ball will dilate blood vessels and increase energy production in the area you are targeting. And with more energy production, the more oxygen that will be sent to the area. 

It’s a good thing you are in a hyperbaric chamber because now you have an ample supply of oxygen to meet the demands of the target tissue. In addition, the pressure inside the chamber will pump out cellular debri, moving it into your body’s lymphatic or garbage collection system.  

Target sore muscles, injured tissue, or an area where you recently had surgery and manually work those areas while in the chamber for faster and more efficient healing. 

 

After

The goal is to stimulate the lymphatic System, boost detoxification and to decrease inflammation.

Vibration

Whole body vibration stimulates your body’s lymphatic system to work more efficiently in removing waste and detoxifying. After HBOT, this is a great way to supercharge recovery. 5 to 10 minutes is all you need. The sooner the better after HBOT. 


Infrared Saunas
Infrared Saunas use infrared light (<700nm) to heat your body up from the inside out, increasing blood circulation and revving up your detox pathways while you sweat out toxins. Sessions run between 15 to 30 minutes usually at a temperature range of 120 to 150 degrees fahrenheit. Best done between 1 to 3 hours post HBOT. 
 
Glutathione
Glutathione is your body’s most powerful antioxidant. As we age our supply drops, especially if we have chronic inflammation or chronic stress. Post HBOT, empiric use of glutathione may aid in wound healing, recovery, and resilience. Wait one hour post HBOT before taking this supplement.
